Create BrightWork Site Collection

A BrightWork SharePoint Site Collection (known as a BrightWork Site) is a work and project management environment that allows you to maximize SharePoint's collaboration functionality.

To create a BrightWork Site:

1. Login to the SharePoint Central Administration page.

   Note: If a SharePoint Farm exists, the person creating the site collection must be a member of the SharePoint Farm Administrator group.

2. Click Application Management | Create Site Collection.

3. Give the site a Title and Description.

4. Specify the element of the URL that will identify the site. for example
   http://myserver/sites/mysitename

5. Select BrightWork Site from the Template Selection box.

6. Specify the Primary Site Collection Administrator.

   Note: The Primary or Secondary Site Collection Administrator of a BrightWork Site Collection must be a farm-level administrator (this applies even if no SharePoint farm exists).

7. Click OK.

   Note: To speed up the site collection creation process, the Templates Area in a new BrightWork site collection is empty. To create a site you should first review the supplied project management templates and create the templates you are interested in and then use those templates to create your sites.
