A set of SharePoint sites that have the same owner and share administration settings. Each site collection contains a top-level site and can contain one or more subsites.
Site collections are created from SharePoint Central Administration.
SharePoint is supplied with a number of different types of site collections, for example, Team Site, Wiki Site, Blog etc. Installing BrightWork makes the BrightWork Site Collection available for selection from SharePoint Central Administration.
