Edit Overall Report Filter Settings

With report filters you can choose whether a report with filters will automatically render or not.

To edit report filter settings:

1. Navigate to the BrightWork Reporter Library, select the report and clickFiles | Report Editor.
2. Click Edit the overall report filter settings.
3. Select:
   • No if you want the report to render automatically using the Default Value(s) specified in the filter(s).

   • Note: The advantage of doing it this way is that it allows you to create a report that renders with the most common filter criteria (e.g. the My Work Due Soon report shows items assigned to the logged in user due in the next 7 days) but also allows the user to select new filter criteria (e.g. the My Work Due Soon report allows the selection of another user and new due dates).

   • Yes if you do not want the report to render automatically. This means that the report will require the user to select or specify filter criteria and to click Apply Filter before the report will render.

   • Note: The advantage of doing it this way is the page the report is located on should launch more quickly.

4. Click Update.
