This article describes some things you will need to be aware of when upgrading a BrightWork for SharePoint 2013 installation to a BrightWork for SharePoint 2016 installation.
To upgrade from BrightWork for SharePoint 2013 to BrightWork for SharePoint 2016, you must migrate from the 15.4 release of BrightWork or higher to the latest release of BrightWork on SharePoint 2016.

If you are on a prior release you will have to upgrade to the supported version.
The only upgrade method that is supported is database-attach. Please see here for more information on this.
