Determine the BrightWork Build Number
To assist BrightWork Support, it may be necessary to determine the BrightWork Version number.
The BrightWork Version number (e.g. 15.2.0190.0) uses an aa:b:cccc:d construction.
- aa is the version of Microsoft Office (see Note 1 below)
- b is the version of the BrightWork release (see Note 2 below)
- cccc is the build number of the release
- d is the slip release number
To determine the BrightWork version number:
- Navigate to the Site Collection home page.
- Click Settings
| Site Settings. - Click BrightWork Settings.
The BrightWork Version number will be displayed at the top of the page.
Note 1:
With SharePoint 2019 the Microsoft Office version remained at '16'. Therefore the following convention was adopted for BrightWork versioning:
- SharePoint 2013: uses 15 as the aa part of the version
- SharePoint 2016: uses 16 as the aa part of the version
- SharePoint 2019: uses 19 as the aa part of the version
Note 2:
Since 15.7 the b part of the version number has been the same for BrightWork releases on SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016.
Since 15.11 this is true for releases on SharePoint 2019 also.
