BrightWork sites are created from BrightWork templates. Templates can be created from site definitions; project sites; and templates in the Template Gallery and are an essential tool in maximizing the efficiencies and cost-savings afforded by BrightWork. They allow you to reuse a successful project environment that both you and your fellow BrightWork users are familiar with.
Note: The Templates Gallery in a newly created BrightWork Site Collection is empty; this is to ensure a faster site collection creation. To add an initial set of templates create them from the site definition menu.
It may be that the Templates Area already contains the templates you need and you might be able to skip this step and proceed to creating the project hierarchy.
We recommend that you create the Project Office template for managing across projects. The template that you pick for managing single projects will depend on your specific needs and requirements.
See here for a full list of the single project templates available with BrightWork. Review these and create the ones you think you need or that you are interested in. The ideal way to pick a template is to pick one that you think has slightly too much process, as hiding and removing process items (such as lists and reports) is easier than creating and adding them.
Some templates are currently only available as downloads from the BrightWork Support Center. The instructions for adding these templates to the Templates Area are included in the download.
